Studies conduction in 2009 had indicated that this very solution could be the secret weapon in defending and fighting Influenza Virus. To make a disinfectant solution, dilute 1 full dropper (~1 gram) of this product with approx. 1 gallon of water. The result solution (~25ppm free iodine) can be used in a sprayer. It is non-toxic and non-irritating to skins. It is very stable in the water and extremely effective in killing all bacteria and a broad spectrum of viruses. The only downside is that it may stain plastic and some porous surfaces.
To make a gargle solution, dilute 1 full dropper (~1 gram) of this product with approx. 16 floz of water. It can be used to kill most bacterias in the mouth. Do not swallow.
With each order you are getting one bottle of 7% Lugol's Iodine solution. The net weight of this solution is at least 31 grams. Each gram of this solution contains 177 mg of iodine (or ~9 mg of iodine per drop). This 7% solution is much more potent than a 5% Lugol's (127 mg/g).
Please note that sometimes we use bottles that are quite larger than 1 oz, in which case the bottle seems under-filled. Rest assured that all the contents are measured by weight and the quantity is always guaranteed regardless of the bottle sizes.
It is made of pure iodine (7%), potassium iodide (14%) and distilled water as indicated on the label. By keeping this solution in a glass bottle and in a cool environment, one can extend the shelf life of this solution to many years. The iodine is quite stable in this solution.

This item is shipped in a 1 oz glass round bottle with an eye dropper. It will be sealed during the shipment for your protection. The actual packaging may be different from those shown on the pictures.
It is extra strong and concentrated. To an estimate, if each dosage is 5 mg, this bottle contains over 1,097 servings! Each drop from the eyedropper contains approximately 9 mg of iodine. It should ALWAYS be diluted into water or other liquid before using for most purposes. You can use a jewelry's scale to measure the weight instead of estimating the volume to achieve a more accurate measurement.
Lugol's Iodine is a transparent dark brown solution. With the high concentration, it can be harmful if used directly without dilution. It may also stain most surfaces it comes to contact, such as skin, fabric, plastic, etc. The stains on skin will disappear shortly. Please read MSDS before handing this solution.
